Opportunities are often disguised as obstacles. Being a novaturient, I always had the strong will to overcome the obstacles in the journey of life. COVID pandemic was one such challenge that not only disrupted balance of life but also hampered the perpetual flow of classroom teaching. During these times, I got the opportunity to attend a webinar enlightening the English teachers about integration of Artificial Intelligence to English Language teaching, in collaboration with Nirmal Hriday Educational Society (NHES). The Society has been altruistic to work towards empowerment and upliftment of underprivileged communities through education. The Chairperson of the Society, Dr Sarita Manuja’s vision and humongous efforts to revolutionize and upgrade school education is inspiring. Fostering digital readiness among students and teachers through offline and online endeavours is noteworthy. I being one of them, is now an AI Subject Coach (English). Under her mentorship, I have blossomed into an AI Ready English teacher with digital skills, on the path to build community of AI Ready teachers and students in sync with Digital India. I had the opportunity to coach English teachers in the webinar AI Integrated Multi-Disciplinary Pedagogies. Integration of AI to English classroom teaching has transformed the prevalent pedagogical practices. The teaching periods have churned out to be more enriching and engaging for students.
Online sessions with English teachers to enhance their teaching skills through AI is quite a rejuvenating experience for me as well as a Teacher Trainer. I was fortunate to also conduct a webinar for Navodaya Vidyalaya School Principals and teachers. Another feather in the cap was my participation in AI Global Impact Festival in AI Impact Shaper category. The AI integrated pedagogical practices have accelerated the transfer of learning to students aligning it with real world scenario comprehensively.
